Title: Self preservation
I will be honest, I wanted to improve my portrait skills but I wanted to enjoy the process. Sometimes that means I measure every detail and sometimes I just trust my eye. This was by eye, I had to relax into a space of experimentation. I got lost in the lights and shadows of this piece.
And nurturing resilience is self preservation
A mix of precision and spontaneity
Maintaining composure and embracing imperfection
Originally It was titled 'freckles in red'
In celebration of being able to enjoy my 'self' from the outside, a distant and foreign idea at one point in life.
Give yourself the space to grown and experiment, be patient, trust yourself to make the right decisions.
